  1. “Liberate the Caged Voices” event, Nov. 16. No. 4 in a series by California Prison Focus. Build solidarity. Engage with our caged community members through their stories, letters, and poetry. Speakers, music, and audience participation. Goodwin Forum, 5-7 p.m. See the attached flier. 
  2. Paid Library Special Collections Internship. Special Collections invites currently enrolled Humboldt students (undergraduate or graduate) to apply for the Atkinson Family Library Scholar Internship for Spring 2019. This is a semester-long paid internship. See here or the attached flier for information on how to apply. Deadline Dec. 7. 
  3. Social Services Transportation Advisory Council. The Humboldt County Association of Governments (HCAOG) is seeking students to be members on its Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (http://www.hcaog.net/committees/social-services-transportation-advisory-council) to help shape the future of transit in the county by helping determine unmet needs.   4. Interdisciplinary Humanities Graduate Student Conference. Proposals are invited on the theme “Contradicting Contradictions: Interrogating Humanities-based Scholar Activism in the Neoliberal University.” While proposals that respond directly to the conference theme are encouraged, all topics regardless of region, temporality, or discipline will be considered in order to ensure cross-disciplinary dialogue. The conference will take place April 4-6, 2019; an abstract and brief author bio are due by Dec. 15.
